It was a banner week for the So-Called Weaker Counties in the Leinster Football Championship with huge, shock (to some!) wins for Carlow and Longford over Kildare and Meath.

This week, we catch up with regular So-Called Weaker Podcast reporter, and Carlow superstar Sean Gannon (5.45) who reflects on his county's famous win.

Mark also presents his guide to being the perfect local radio GAA commentator. (42.55), and on the back of a winner at last, we present our accumulator of the week. (55.18)

We talk to Westmeath cornerback Boidu Sayeh (19.40) ahead of Westmeath V Laois in the Leinster Football Quarter Final this weekend. Boidu arrived in Ireland from Liberia at 8 years old.

We also talk to the Longford captain Donal McElligott (37.39) ahead of their eagerly anticipated (by us for 15 weeks!) Leinster Quarter Final clash with Meath.

We review and preview an incredibly busy couple of weekend in the GAA Championships and vow to finally get off the mark in our Accumulator of the Week (50.45).

Welcome to a special podcast where Gavin Cooney chats to Simon Hart, the author of a new book WORLD IN MOTION - The Inside Story Of Italia '90.

Simon's thesis is that the tournament changed football forever, and here we tease that out.

How responsible was it for the Premier League and the Champions League?

Did the UAE's participation directly lead to Abu Dhabi's investment in Man City, and the Qatar World Cup?

Here that and more, including Simon's amazing meeting with Sepp Blatter, who pretended to be Diego Maradona by mimicking his snorting cocaine.

The book is published by DeCoubertin Books and is out now.

Another packed show this week as Mick, Mark and Gavin take you around the So-Called Weaker Counties.

Two of Louth's star players, Niall and Gerry Arthur from Clare are not currently playing in their Nicky Rackard Cup campaign after an anonymous objection to their eligibility. We discuss and the state of hurling in the weaker counties and how the GAA can do so, so much more to help the situation.

We also look back on an incredible first full weekend of games in the football and hurling championships, and give you a possible accumulator for this week's games.

The Championship is under way and summer is here.

We look back on a dramatic first weekend with New York coming so, so close.

We also talk to Meath's Mickey Burke (26.03) about their upcoming football campaign and also about the hurlers' and their chances in the Joe McDonagh Cup ahead of their massive clash with Westmeath this weekend.

There are three first round games in the Leinster Football Championship this weekend (48.56), and we'll from three people involved - Laois manager John Sugrue, Offaly selector Brendan Kealy, and Louth captain Andy McDonnell.

Lots more too including a very important potato update.

The Championship is here. Week 1 is all about the Exiles as New York host Leitrim and London host Sligo in the Connacht Football Championship.

We catch up with London captain, and London native, Liam Gavaghan (27.20) to discuss his team's preparation, his GAA routes, and combining working nights on the London Underground with playing intercounty Gaelic football.

And ahead of the Leinster Football Championship kicking off next week, we catch up with Louth manager Pete McGrath (40.23) who's looking ahead after a disastrous league campaign and talks about his outright opposition to a two tier championship structure.

Mark's trip around the So-Called Weaker Counties also takes in a bizarre, but important, conversation about the best type of potatoes.
